CONCERT FOR ST. CECILIA'S DAY

Chorus Angelicus & Gaudeamus -- Nicholas White, director
Chorus Angelicus joins forces with Gaudeamus, the acclaimed adult choir,
to present a varied program of a cappella choral music
in celebration of the Patron Saint of music and musicians.
Featured composers will be Purcell, Bach, Mendelssohn and four giants
of 20th century England: Parry, Ireland, Britten and Tippett.
Admission: $20/$10 student, at the door

The younger singers of the organization will present their annual Winter Concert,
featuring music from across the world and from all traditions.

Churches and chapels across Northwest Connecticut will be filled with the music of the season
as this tradition continues to draw packed houses. Old and new arrangements of carols
and seasonal songs will be performed, along with traditional carols for the audience.
Venues this year include Washington, Lakeville, Litchfield, Hartford and Torrington.

PRE-TOUR CONCERT WITH CHORUS ANGELICUS

Chorus Angelicus & String Ensemble (Nicholas White, director)
A program of music by Purcell, Bach, Handel, Faure, Puccini and others, will feature
popular melodies alongside new arrangements of music from across the globe.
The choir will be accompanied by string ensemble.

GAUDEAMUS CONCERT - “Ancient Mexico & Modern America”

St. John’s Church, Waterbury
Gaudeamus -- Nicholas White, director
Music by Juan Gutierrez de Padilla, Morten Lauridsen, Eric Whitacre, and
a newly-composed work by music director, Nicholas White, will make up a program devoted to
modern day American music, and a composer from 17th Century Mexico!

Gaudeamus, Christ Church Cathedral Choir, St. James’ Church Choir
Kevin Jones & Nicholas White, organists and conductors
Gaudeamus combines forces with other local choirs for the opening concert of this national conference.
The program will include Mass (Op. 130) by Joseph Jongen and
Missa Festiva (Op. 62) by Flor Peeters.
