Joyful Noise, Inc. will present a performance of Johannes Brahms' REQUIEM at Christ Church Cathedral, Hartford, CT on Sunday June 8th, 2008 at 4:00pm. "Brahms' German Requiem emphasizes comfort for the living, in contrast to the more traditional settings that mourn the dead, providing a message of hope for all." The piece will be sung by Chorus Angelicus (the regional children’s choir) and Gaudeamus (the adult chamber choir) with Kevin Jones accompanying on the organ, and Nicholas White conducting. Soloists will be Katherine Wessinger, soprano, and Rod Gomez, baritone.
